Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961, in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onestiin Gheorghe Gheorghiu dej, now Onesti Romania). She was first to achieve a perfect 10 in an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi who was the Romanian gymnastics trainer who became Comaneci's coach in later years she discovered her when she was six. In 1969, she competed in the Romanian Junior Championships and finished 13th. She was awarded the championship in 1970. She won three golds in her first competition in a junior pre-Olympic meeting in 1972 that was held by communist bloc countries. Between 1973 and 1974 she won the junior all-round champion. In 1975 she was awarded four golds and one silver at her first senior competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976 and became the first woman in history to complete a reverse double salto, which is dismounting from the uneven bars parallel to each other. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career in the entertainment business began during her teens when she began skating figure alongside her younger sibling Nina Wayne as part of the touring entertainment show known as Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6, 1942, on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her career in entertainment during her teenage years. As a young girl she was the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. The show featured stage-moving ice-skating performances.
