Amy Lou Adams, full name Amy Lou Adams (born 20 August 1974 in Aviano Italy), American actress. Her fame is for her naive roles that are engaging and relatable. Adams was the youngest of seven siblings that grew up as a young child in Colorado's Castle Rock. Her birth was during the time that her father worked for the U.S. Military in Italy. At the beginning of 1990, Adams began dancing professionally for Boulder's Dinner Theatre as well as the Country Dinner Playhouse. Following her move to Minnesota, she starred in an undocumentary-style film called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1998) concerning beauty pageant contests. After making her screen debut as a cute but serious contestant she moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Also, she raised Kelly Curtis, Jamie Lee Curtis. Discovered by actor Norma Shearer Leigh secured a deal with MGM and started her film career in the 1940s. In the 1960s, she appeared in a variety of films, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Living It Up.
